Think Rights is keen on creating a debate environment where young people can discuss different sensitive issues within the area of the human rights. As a result, we created an events-team that has as its sole purpose the planning of events relevant for the contemporary discussions on human rights in Denmark. At the moment, we are working on a series of events named “Crossing Borders” through which we are aiming at bringing sensitive issues to the attention of the young people in Denmark.
We want to cross the boundaries created by society and bring awareness. One of our past projects was an event where we brought together three specialists on the issue of the Roma people and discussed different aspects of the subject. We provided an impartial arena where different pieces of the bigger picture were put together and offered us a more inclusive understanding of the situation of the Roma people in Europe and in Denmark.
